Tags
Tags are simple labels you can apply to contacts to categorize them (e.g. “VIP”, “Lead”, “Churned”, “New Customer”).
Manage Tags
- Go to Settings → Tags
- View all existing tags
- Click + Add Tag to create a new tag
- Click the edit icon to rename a tag
- Click the delete icon to remove a tag
Deleting a tag removes it from all contacts that have it.
Apply Tags to Contacts
From the Conversation View
- Open a conversation
- In the Contact Details panel on the right
- Find the Tags section
- Click + Add Tag and select or type a tag name
From the Contact List
- Go to Contacts
- Click on a contact
- Open the Tags section
- Add or remove tags
Via CSV Import
Include a tag column in your CSV. Multiple tags can be separated by a pipe |:

Create segments filtered by tags:
- Condition:
Tag → has tag → "VIP" - Result: All contacts tagged as VIP
Common Tag Examples
