Test Call
Test Call is a free in-browser audio call to your voice agent. Use it to verify voice + greeting + behaviour + tool fires before any real customer dials in.
Open a test call
On the agent edit page, click Test Call in the top-right.
Allow microphone access when the browser prompts. The call connects within 2-3 seconds; you’ll hear the greeting, then start talking.
What you see
- Animated waveform — pulses while the agent is speaking
- Status pill — Listening / Thinking / Speaking
- Live transcript — both your turns and the agent’s, time-ordered
- Tool-fire counter — pill in the header showing how many tools the agent used so far
- Tool-fire toasts — pop-up notifications the moment a tool fires (e.g. ”✓ Captured lead — Sayan / +91 9876543210”)
- 5-minute countdown — Test calls auto-end at 5 minutes
- End call button — hang up anytime
After you hang up
The modal pivots to a summary screen with:
- Duration — exact mm:ss
- Turns — total user + agent utterances
- Tools fired — count + per-tool breakdown
- Tool list — every fire with the result message + timestamp
- Download transcript — saves a
.txtfile with the full transcript + tool history - Start new call button — instant retry
What’s free + what’s not
- Test calls are free. No AI Credits charged.
- Real WhatsApp calls (after you set the agent as default voice agent) are billed per second from your AI Credits balance — see Pricing.
- Tool fires during test calls do make real changes — leads captured during a test land in your real Contacts list, callbacks scheduled show up in your dashboard, etc. Test with care, or use a non-production agent for exploration.
Limits
- 5 minutes max per test call (hard cap)
- 1 test call at a time per agent
- Microphone-only — no incoming audio from anything but your microphone
Common things to test
- Say your name + phone + what you want — verify the lead lands in Contacts with the right tag
- Ask “please call me back tomorrow at 3 PM” — verify a callback row appears
- Ask a question that’s in your KB — verify the agent quotes your uploaded doc accurately
- Ask a question that’s NOT in your KB — verify the agent says “let me check that and call back” instead of inventing
- Say “I want to speak to a person” — verify transfer fires (and if you’ve configured a fallback phone, you should see the agent apologize politely if it can’t reach the line)
- Switch language mid-call (English → Hindi) — verify the agent follows
Troubleshooting

| No greeting after 5+ seconds | Refresh the page + try again. Check that the agent’s status is active on the Overview tab. |
| Agent answers in wrong language | Add the missing language to the Languages list on the Persona tab |
| Tool toast doesn’t appear when expected | Check the tool is toggled ON for this agent on the Tools tab |
| Audio choppy | Network issue — try a different network or click End Call + retry |
