Business Username

A WhatsApp Business Username is a unique handle that customers can use to find your business on WhatsApp (similar to a social media handle).

What Is a Business Username?

Instead of sharing a phone number, you can share your username link:

https://wa.me/m/YourUsername

Customers can tap this link to start a WhatsApp conversation with your business directly.

Set Your Username

1. Go to Settings → Username
2. Enter your desired username:
   • Lowercase letters, numbers, and dots/underscores only
   • 5–32 characters
   • Must be unique on WhatsApp
3. Click Save

Username changes go through Meta’s approval process via the Graph API.

Username Availability

If the username is taken, try:

• Adding your city: acmemumbai
• Adding your industry: acmefashion
• Using a variation: shopwithacme

Update Username

You can change your username, but frequent changes may cause a review delay.

1. Go to Settings → Username
2. Edit the current username
3. Click Update

Username changes require Meta approval and may take up to 24 hours.
